THE EUROPEANIZATION OF THE UNITED STATES
(How it happened....How to correct it)
THE DRIVETRAIN OF THE CONSTITUTION
The Constitution, as originally adopted in 1788, was a powerful vehicle designed to take us on an exciting ride of freedom and prosperity. WORLD PEACE With this version of the constitution in place, there actually came to be the prospect of world peace. CIVIL WAR A little more than 70 years into the life of this constitution, a severe assault was made on this drive train and its operation. It came from Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln want more money for his federal programs than some of the Southern States were willing to give. Lincoln was determined to get it anyway, so he sent in his tax collectors. 1913 The country limped along for the next 45 years, in this crippled condition with a broken constitution until we got to 1913, where three violent actions [16th Amendment, 17th Amendment, Federal Reserve Act] against our constitution wiped out the drive train to Europeanize this country. REPEAL 1913 How do we correct this?
The essence of the workings of the constitution in found in three spheres of activity we call the drive train of the constitution.
These can be likened to the drive train of an automobile: the engine, the transmission, the gears down to where the rubber meets the road and takes you on the ride.
The engine of the Constitution is the Ultimate Arbiter of the Constitution. This is the individual whose responsibility it is to take those words of the constitution, from the printed page, interpret them, to give those words meaning and the Constitution life. The Power Source of the Constitution is the Ultimate Arbiter.
The Separation of Powers, the second component (of this power train), is designed to contain the federal government, a transmission of sorts. Some times, depending on world events, the federal government must get into high gear. But most of the time it is contained at a moderate speed controlled through this component, the Separation of Powers.
The rubber meets the road down here at State Sovereignty. This is where real growth and development takes place. Of course the emphasis is not on the growth and development of government. That is not what this ride of freedom is all about. It is the growth and development of the culture, and a heritage of liberty, that we can be proud of, and pass on to our children and grandchildren — that is what is important —that is what this component is for.
This is the drive train of the constitution and how it is supposed to work. This is the emphasis of our studies at the seminars.
There is a second important use of the term “drive train.” It is to distinguish these components from the Bill of Rights.
The Constitution with this drive train was adopted in 1788. George Washington took his seat in the presidential office and Congress started making laws early in 1789. The Bill of Rights did not come along for another two years.
You see, the Bill of Rights are just safety features. They are the seat belts, the air bag, the rear view mirrors.
The Bill of Rights is not this drive train. It is not even part of it. The drive train is the essence of the Constitution. The Bill of Rights are only safety features to try to protect us from the federal government should these not operate the way they were designed.
Before the Europeans arrived on this continent, according to records, the Indian tribes were almost always at war with each other.
And things didn’t change much with the arrival of the Europeans. As the Portuguese, Spanish, English French and others arrived, they also fought with the Indians, as well as each other!
Even after the Revolutionary War, there were concerns that some of the newly formed Sovereign States might even go to war with each other!
And then the Constition with (the original) Drivetrain got instituted. And things settled down.
Even today on the North American Continent, you don’t find the Indian Nations warring with each other. The Canadians are not at war with the Americans. We are not warring with the Mexicans.
Wherever this is dominant, peace seems to reign.
Outside of this, we find constant war, and today the prospect of World Peace has become nothing but a fantasy.
What Happened?
The South retaliated with force of arms and the Civil War was underway.
The Civil War went on violently for about 5 years and culminated in the abolition of State Sovereignty.
Lincoln was assassinated shortly after the Civil War ended. However vindictive northern congressmen, determined to wreak further havoc on those southern states proposed the 14th Amendment.
The 14th Amendment was never properly ratified, but in its institution, it greatly weakened the Separation of Powers component of this Drivetrain, and its ability to contain the federal government.
The Ultimate Arbiter, in all this violence and tumult, said little and sat in the background.
And that’s where our country sat in 1868, crippled with a mangled constitution
You don’t hear anything about the drivetrain these days. All you hear about is the safety features. Oh there is talk about the First Amendment and your freedom of speech; your right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment; and a little talk down there about the Fifth Amendment and Eminent domain.
Some of the States are getting into arguments with the federal government over the Tenth Amendment: states rights.
But believe me, states rights is a status far below state sovereignty. It is not even close.
And that’s where we sit today: Just another European country, thrown into that cesspool of wars and financial stress that we thought we had escaped from…a condition Europe has been living with for a thousand years.
This is the United States today: A Europeanized country with a very dangerous national government…and a Bill of Rights….Seat belts.
Simple: Repeal 1913. And the 14th Amendment, too, of course
But if you listen to the political pundits, they will tell you this is impossible. You must do something practical.
Well, it may be impossible. But we are going to do it anyway. Because we have to. And there is nothing practical about wallowing in this European cesspool of misery.
I am not saying it is an easy task. I agree it will be a big job. But it is possible. And it is not as difficult as the pundits would leave you to believe.
The secret to getting the job done, the secret to rebuilding this drivetrain, getting it back into operational condition is in the drivetrain itself.
I don't believe anyone can tell you about it though. We have not found that workable.
We certainly are not going to try to teach it to you. Or lecture you on the subject. You are going to have to put on your thinking cap, or better yet, your viewing goggles and discover it yourself.
When we conduct the seminars we use the Socratic method. And we call the conductors of the seminars just that: Conductors.
The conductor just asks the questions. You come up with the answers.
We do give you a copy of the answer book: the constitution.
And there are other references we provide also,
All reference documents come from the Founding Fathers. We have no interest in modern day interpretations of the constitution have mangled this path to freedom and prosperity that the Founders envisioned. Which path, by the way, once restored, will also put us back on that Road to World Peace.
So, join us. It's exciting, it's fun. At times unbelievable. But it's all there, just like we say it is.
Sign up for one of our seminars and take a look.
